Victory for Lewisham Bridge School occupation!

Parents have been occupying Lewisham Bridge primary school for three months to stop it being demolished and sold off to be an academy. Children were facing over a year being bussed to lessons further from home in a temporary school, but today they were told that Lewisham Bridge School will open again as normal in September. They said:

“This is a fight against privatisation and the selling off of public services; it’s a fight against redundancies and the selling off of our jobs. It’s a national fight and with our victory we send a message of solidarity to the workers in the Vestas occupation. Stand up and fight – do it together and we can win!
