Ed Miliband hosts pre-Copenhagen question and answer session

Here’s an offer it’s hard to ignore – if you live in East London and aren’t otherwise occupied on Thursday night:

Ed Miliband, the Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change, will host a public rally on Thursday 22 October in Shoreditch, East London, to give an update, and take questions, on the current state of negotiations in the lead to Copenhagen.

The rally comes in the midst of a number of important meetings – such as the UK hosted Major Economies Forum, the EU Council meeting on 21 October, and the 350.org Global Day of Action planned for 24 October – where Copenhagen and climate change are a major focus.

If you would like to attend the Shoreditch event, please register with Kasey Gardiner at kasey.gardiner@decc.gsi.gov.uk.

Doors will open at 17.30 with the event starting at 18.30. Further details will be sent on registration.

If you are interested in the Copenhagen negotiations but cannot attend, you can watch the live-stream on our website, http://www.decc.gov.uk, and submit questions online.
