Island Youth Project’s pictures and film of ‘Blade Day’, 22 September

The Island Youth Project has been a staunch supporter of the campaign by Vestas workers to save their green jobs.

They have taken some interesting pictures and film of Tuesday 22 September – ‘Blade Day’ – when Vestas got some blades out of the blockaded factory – with the considerable assistance of large numbers of Hampshire Constabulary, as the film shows.

The IYP asks the very pertinent question: “Who paid for the police protection? Vestas or the tax payers?”
