Vestas picketed on Tuesday 18 August, day it announces its half-yearly profits

There were two demonstrations targeting Vestas on Tuesday 18 August, the day they announced their half-yearly results (still in profit, but not by as much as they had anticipated).

First was at Vestas UK HQ in Warrington, from 7.30am, the second was outside the offices of Goldman Sachs in the City of London, where Vestas were holding their press briefing.

Second at Goldman Sachs. Charlie reports:

Supporters of the Vestas workers protested outside the Goldman Sachs building in Fleet Street, London, today (Tuesday), as Vestas announced its results to the press. The picket, mainly members of the SWP and the Socialist Party, received a good welcome from passers-by and we were interviewed by several press outlets (mainly from Denmark). Lots of people took leaflets – we used the one on this website with the profit figures updated to take account of the latest results.

Solidarity,

Charlie Kimber
