More pictures this evening of the East Cowes rooftoppers. It’s not quite a webcam we are providing here, but with regular pictures from Jax on the roof we are trying our hardest! And so are the protestors. Please get along and support them if you can.

I hear that they are getting their laundry done by supporters, and collected enough rain water recently for a shower. However, it has to be tough up there. And they are doing it to support the Vestas workers’ campaign to keep their jobs producing wind turbine blades at the Vestas plants on the Isle of Wight.

The rooftop protestors are happy to put up more banners if anyone has one they want seen by a wide audience!

  9. we’ve got mail now!

    rooftopjaxxSthe whole saga

and the OTHERdalston Windmill is now safely arrived on the roof, more pix coming in to illustrate the whole saga, 2 through so far, but here’s a fuzzy one of the second courier taking it onto the train at Waterloo http://bit.ly/N7YOB (absolutely no blame to CC Mumbler – class conscious couriering doesn’t always run to steady camera work)

digging in – powering up – starting to shout out

  10. meanwhile from basecamp:

we’re going to keep putting up individual pix here for a bit, but we’ll work out amongst ourselves what else to do, such as posting them to indymedia.org.uk and on photo-sharing sitess such as Flickr

this one’s the package being hauled up onto the roof, what could it have contained? http://bit.ly/NTKkz we can certainly see one very happy camper, and is that sky blue!
