Pics of Saturday’s march and mini-invasion of the Vestas grounds

The Vestas workers’ rally in Newport today, Saturday, of about 250 people featured Vestas workers thanking the crowd for their support and saying they are determined to fight on. There seems to have been no sense of deflation after the eviction on Friday. Instead, a spirit of rebelliousness was much in evidence.

After the rally the march back to the plant took a new route, onto the dual carriageway, where they were supported by drivers tooting their horns. And when they got to the plant, many of the marchers went around the back of the plant and onto the site. Once at the front of the plant, inside the fence for a change, they sat in front of the plant and called for the management to come out and talk to them.

David Smith from Southampton has sent some great photos. Click on them to see them bigger.
