No.10 runs children’s art competition on theme of ‘the environment’, entries sought

Owen reports:

While checking the status of the Number 10 e-petition I couldn’t help but notice they’re running some gaudy-looking ‘art competition’ for 5-16 year olds on the theme of, guess what, the Environment?

Perhaps some of the children on the Isle of Wight might like to let Gordon Brown know what they think of his environment policies by sending him a picture of some wind turbines? If it wins, that’d really embarrass him…

Number 10 Art Competition

Number 10 is calling on budding young artists to put pens, pencils and brushes to paper for the Number 10 Art Competition. We’re looking for the best pictures on the theme of the Environment.

The winning pictures will be hung in the waiting room of 10 Downing Street and the young artists will be invited to the house to see their work on display.

The deadline for the first competition is the end of August. If anyone has some pictures done by children to preview on the blog, please send them to
