Cowes week is ahead and the authorities are “looking for protestors”

We have received notification that ferries will be scanned “for protestors” coming into the Isle as a security measure in the run-up to Cowes Week.

“I will be wearing a sailor’s outfit,” announced a Climate Camper making her way down. “The Big Green Gathering’s been cancelled because it was deemed an activist hot-spot, and a university for protesting skills the authorities were uncomfortable about.

“Well, I’m going to go hone those campaigning skills anyway, and show my support for the workers in occupation of our only big green wind spinning machine. They’ll never recognise me on the ferry. Arrr.”
