No tickets, alas. We are going to leaflet the fans going to see the Rugby League Challenge Cup final at Wembley on Saturday 29th August, because Vestas sponsors Warrington Wolves, who are playing Huddersfield Giants.
Campaigners in the North West have already leafleted a Wolves game, and had a good response from fans. Some have been persuaded that Vestas, which is ready to abandon a community at the drop of a hat, when profits are not as high as they would like, has shown itself not to be a suitable sponsor for the Wolves.
The players are in the GMB union, which has pledged a donation to the Save Vestas campaign on their behalf.
If you can get to Wembley on Saturday 29 August we will have our work cut out leafleting the thousands of fans coming down for the game. We are meeting initially at 11am at Wembley Park tube station.
